제 71회 백제문화제

The time with the war wounds not healed in 1955 the 1st Baekje Grand Rite started with the intention and voluntary participation of Buyeo-gun people is facing the 71st rite.

The reasons why we have commemorated and inherited the spirit of the Baekjae Baekje people for more than 70 years is not only for recollecting the past. It is the journey for keeping our historical and cultural identity and create new cultural value toward the future furthermore. The Baekje Cultural Festival presents the special opportunity of directly feeling and experiencing the grand culture in Buyeo, the ancient capital of glorious Baekje, by dating back 1,500 years.

The 71st Baekje Cultural Festival is held with the them of ‘Beautiful Baekje, Glorious Sabi’ this year. The Baekje Cultural Land, the main event venue, is the space where the only Baekje Royal Palace in the country is reenacted realistically. The palace is organized on the basis of the historic remains and relics of the Baekje period including Sabigung Palace, so it is possible to vividly experience the glorious history and culture of Baekje with five senses.

Especially, this festival will be held during Golden Week including Chuseok Holidays from October 3 to 12. Various and abundant programs are prepared to have anyone enjoy together including various performances, traditional culture experiences, ancestral rites and Buddhist temple offerings, bight landscape, and exhibitions. We promise the great festival harmonizing the glorious heritage of Baekje with the creative interpretation of the modern society. We hope you will deeply feel the beauty and excellence of the Baekje through the 71st Baekje Cultural Festival and have a meaningful time for brushing up your pride on our culture.
